Non-Profit Formation

The Foothills Heritage Farm, Inc. (also known as the Benjamin Hubbard Farm) is located near Moravian Falls in Wilkes County, North Carolina. This 25-acre property is subject to a Blue Ridge Conservancy easement allowing farm restoration, but preventing any other development or use of the property. The Benjamin Hubbard house, ca 1778, is one of the oldest structures in North Carolina and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Our Mission is Three-fold:


• To restore and manage the 1784 farmstead of Benjamin Hubbard,
• To serve as an educational site for students of all ages to experience the agrarian lifestyle of a Wilkes County pioneering family,
• And to incorporate historically important skills, materials, and trades of that era.

Non-Profit Statement

The Foothills Heritage Farm, Inc. received 501(c)(3) designation of the Internal Revenue Code on March 5, 2008 bestowing exemption from Federal Income tax. Contributions to this Corporation are deductible under Section 170 of the Code. The Corporation is also qualified to receive tax deduction bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2005, 2106, or 2522 of the Code.
